Lots of local history buffs crowded into the Brighton Community Centre on Saturday and Sunday, Feb 23 and 24, 2013, for the first History Open House. A presentation was done by the Presqu'ile Point Lighthouse Preservation Society and The History Guy introduced the Latimer Photos. The event was so popular, everyone insisted that we needed to do it annually. So we did.

The three Womens Institutes collaborated to provide The Heritage Tea, lots of tasty goodies with tea and coffee. This part of the Open House has been back by popular demand ever since. Nothing nicer than talking history with friends and neighbours and then sitting with a snack to visit some more.
