Pirate Burns Boat at Newcastle
The War of 1812 touched down at the town of Newcastle, on Presqu'ile Point when the pirate, Bill Johnson, raided George Gibson's boat building enterprise and burned the schooner that stood on the stocks, almost completed. Here is a bit about the story and the pirate.
